The Ishola Empire Incorporated has officially launched a year long monthly outreach partnership with Capior Children’s Haven in Uyo, Nigeria, strengthening its commitment to protecting and supporting vulnerable children living on the streets.

The program, which will run throughout 2026, is fully funded through a dedicated philanthropic pledge by Empress Myishola Matthews, Founder of The Ishola Empire Incorporated. The initiative is designed to provide consistent monthly care, resources, protection education, and emotional support for children facing severe social and economic vulnerability.

Led locally by Queen Edidiong and her team at Capior Children’s Haven, the first monthly outreach delivered both immediate relief and long term protective education. Children received essential food and clothing, helping meet urgent physical needs. In addition, the team facilitated a structured educational workshop focused on body autonomy, personal safety, and abuse prevention. The session helped children understand personal boundaries, recognize inappropriate touch, and identify trusted adults they can turn to for protection and support.

To reinforce learning, educational booklets were printed and distributed, giving children a tangible resource they can reference. Contact information was also provided so each child knows how to reach safe, supportive adults if they need help or guidance.

Bringing Joy

The program also centered emotional wellbeing and connection. Children participated in singing, dancing, and community activities designed to create joy, belonging, and reassurance. A central message guided the day’s experience: every child matters, every child deserves protection, and no child is forgotten.

This outreach marks the beginning of a structured monthly impact model that will continue throughout the year, with each month addressing critical needs including nourishment, safety education, emotional support, and community care.

“This commitment reflects a belief that sustained impact requires sustained presence,” said Empress Myishola Matthews. “

Through this year long pledge, we are ensuring that children who are often overlooked are consistently supported, protected, and reminded of their value.”

Many of the children served face daily uncertainty, including limited access to food, inadequate clothing, and environments where they are at heightened risk of neglect, exploitation, and abuse. This outreach was intentionally structured to respond to both their visible needs and the invisible risks they carry.
